GTA has you play as the bad guy the criminal. Eventually, that idea was tossed and a new game was built around the most fun part of Race’n’Chase, running from the cops. In case you didn’t know, Grand Theft Auto was originally going to be a multiplayer racing game called Race’n’Chase. And, things were a little bit different back then. While the 2000s may have seen GTA reach the stratosphere, the fourth best-selling franchise of all time actually got its start in the late 90s. Nobody ever talks about the era before GTA3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition will also come to Xbox Game Pass on Nov. Physical versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox platforms, and the Switch come Dec. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition comes digitally to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via the Rockstar Games launcher) on Nov.
The Nintendo Switch version will also have its own special control updates, including gyro aiming controls and touch-screen camera options. Rockstar also promised updated character and vehicle models, a new weather system, and a suite of graphical improvements and resolution updates. The updated games were worked on by Grove Street Games, who have ported many of Rockstar’s most popular titles to iOS, Android, and other platforms over the years. They will also feature that later game’s weapon and radio station wheels, as well as an improved mini-map that allow players to set their destination.
The updated versions will feature new aiming and shooting controls, modeled off the much smoother controls from Grand Theft Auto 5. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is more than a repackaging of all three titles, Rockstar said in its Newswire post. 11, with a physical release following on Dec. Grand Theft Auto’s remastered trilogy - which includes Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - is coming digitally to a host of platforms Nov.
